Our first Acworth real estate market report of 2018 shows that the year is off to a great start. With With 131 new listings, for a total of 311 active listings, you might think real estate inventory in Acworth is a bit on the high side, but you’d be incorrect… in fact, it’s a 5-year record low for January listings in Acworth.
The low inventory means that prices continue to edge upwards; the median sold price was $239k, which is a 9.3% increase, despite there being a 50% decrease in the number of closed sales. If those stats don’t convince you that NOW is a great time to put your home on the market, maybe this will: the median number of days it took for a listing to go under contract was only 22 days (another 5-year record low for January), and the average sold-price-to-list-price ratio is a whopping 97.3%, which is a 5-year record high for January.
