The big story for the August 2018 real estate market data for Cherokee County is prices: the median home sales price was 15.3% higher than August of last year ($288,250), while the average home sales price was 22.2% higher than August of last year ($342,934). Interestingly enough, the inventory of homes for sale in Cherokee County actually increased by 3.3% when compared to last year, despite there being 1.1% fewer new listings.

Although the inventory was larger in August 2018 than it was last August, inventory is still low, contributing to homes selling faster and for closer to asking price. The average number of days on the market was 38 (5% faster than last year), and Cherokee County home sellers received 98.6% of their asking price (.4% more than last year).
