This is our July 2017 Real Estate Sales Report for Kennesaw, Georgia.
Although the number of closed sales fell 12.8% in July, that really only put us back in line with the number of closed sales in Kennesaw last summer; what looks like a steep decline in closings is actually only because the number of closings in June was so high. We had 210 closings total last month, which is higher than the 5-year average for the month of July in Kennesaw.
Meanwhile, data trends that commonly mark the end of summer in most markets followed suit here; the number of new listings fell by nearly 19%, and the median sold price slipped at a bit as well, down 4% from June. Although it may be stressful for those who are watching the Kennesaw real estate market closely to see so many declining figures, but there’s no need to worry; these numbers are indicative of the market slowing a bit as we move into the holidays, which is a common data trend in nearly every real estate market in the nation.
